Belanger™ Registers to International Quality Standard
Automatic Car Wash Equipment Assembler Joins North America’s Elite
NOVI, Mich., May 29, 2001 — Belanger, Inc. was recently presented with its ISO 9001: 2000 registration from Intertek Testing Services’ (ITS) quality management systems (QMS) registration business unit, affirming that the company’s Novi, Mich., assembling operation adheres to the internationally recognized quality standard.
After 12 months of planning and implementation, Belanger, Inc. joins only 165 companies in North America that have registered their QMS to ISO 9001: 2000, according to worldpreferred, and is one of the first manufacturing plants of its kind to achieve compliance to the 2000 version of ISO 9001.
"The impetus for Belanger and its dedicated employees to attain ISO 9001 registration was to improve overall performance of the company and establish a well-documented quality management system", said Michael Belanger, president, Belanger, Inc. "In just the short time since implementing the ISO system, we've already noticed increased efficiency and our customer satisfaction level is on the rise." The company's mission statement and corporate strategy really come into lockstep with ISO Certification as Ron Guminik, the Operations Manager comments on the certification achievement, "We believe that the ISO-9001 foundation is critical for helping us reach our goal of producing a quality product, shipping it complete and on time. We must continue working within the guidelines of the ISO Standard, monitoring our processes and results and continually improving them. The implementation of manufacturing standards will allow Belanger, Inc. to increase efficiencies within the manufacturing process resulting in a better quality product as well as increasing production capacity within all of it's manufacturing plants.
